Diagnosis and treatment of common abnormalities in sludge I

Some sludge problems will occur in the sewage treatment operation. Although many will not cause the system to collapse, we can know the existing problems of the sewage in advance by observing the appearance of the sludge.


I. Analytical control method for abnormal physical properties


1. If the sludge is found white during operation


  cause:


Lack of nutrition, filamentous fungi or sessile ciliates multiply, poor growth of bacterial micelles;


The PH value is high or too low, causing a large amount of filamentous bacteria to grow, the sludge is loose, and the volume is too large.


  Solution:


Adjust the influent load according to the nutrient ratio, and increase the amount of ammonia nitrogen to maintain the color of the sludge for several days;


Adjust the pH value of the influent water and keep the pH value of the aeration tank between 6 and 8. Keeping the pH range for a long time can effectively prevent the sludge from expanding.


2. If the sludge is found black during the operation


  cause:


The dissolved oxygen in the aeration tank is too low, and the anaerobic decomposition of organic matter releases H2S, which reacts with Fe to form FeS.


  Solution:


Increase the oxygen supply or increase the return sludge. As long as the dissolved oxygen in the aeration tank is increased, the sludge will gradually return to normal in about 10 hours.


3. The sludge filtration is difficult or the effluent color is increased during the test.


  cause:


Lack of nutrition or low water temperature, poor sludge growth, large amount of sludge deflocculation


  Solution:


Increase load balance nutrition, increase water temperature, and improve sludge growth environment.


4, a large number of bubbles in the aeration tank


  cause:


The influent load is too high, and the impact load is large, causing some sludge to decompose and adhere to the bubbles to make the bubbles sticky and not easily broken, so the water area contains a large number of bubbles.


  Solution:


Reduce the influent water, slightly increase the amount of returning sludge, and stabilize the bubble reduction system after a period of time.
