The working principle of the screw pump

The screw pump device includes a prime mover, a variable speed transmission and a screw pump, specifically composed of a spiral blade, a pump shaft, a bearing housing and an outer casing. The screw pump is tilted between the upper and lower pools, and the lower end of the screw pump is immersed below the water surface. 

When the pump shaft rotates, the spiral blade pushes the water in the pool into the groove, and the water is lifted up one level along the screw axis by the spiral rotating blade until the water outlet of the screw pump. The screw pump only changes the potential energy of the fluid, which is different from the positional energy and kinetic energy of the vane type pump that converts mechanical energy into liquid.
